Assign security roles

Objective

In this article, you will learn how to assign the “Hubdrive DATEV Operator” security role to future users of the DATEV Integration.

This security role ensures that authorized users can access and manage the features of the Hubdrive DATEV Integration. The role is assigned after the DATEV Integration has been successfully installed.

Process

System Admin
Assign the Hubdrive DATEV Operator security role to the HR Manager

Prerequisites

  • You are signed in as a System Admin.
  • For the process "Assign security roles to employees": You are an administrator and have a valid license assigned.
  • The Hubdrive DATEV Integration has been successfully installed in the appropriate environment.

Click Through

  • Navigate to the Power Platform Admin Center as a System Admin. (http://www.admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/)
  • In the settings on the right side, click Admin Center (you will be redirected to the Power Platform Admin Center).
  • On the left side, click Manage and select the environment where you installed the DATEV Integration.
  • Users who will be using the DATEV Integration must be assigned the new security role. Complete the following steps:
    • Under Users, click See all.
    • Select the users who should receive the security role (for example, the HR Manager).
    • Click the three dots (...) and select Manage security roles.
    • Select Hubdrive DATEV Operator and save the changes.

Hint

  • Users can access the Hubdrive DATEV Integration features only after a security role has been assigned to them
  • Changes to security roles may take a few minutes to take effect
  • If a user cannot access the DATEV Integration despite having been assigned a security role, also check the assigned license and the user permissions for the environment

Result

Once the security role has been successfully assigned, the selected users can access the Hubdrive DATEV Integration and use and manage it in accordance with their permissions.
