Adjust hourly wage/ salary

Objective

Learn how to assign DATEV salary types to the corresponding wage types and establish the basis for the correct transfer of compensation data to DATEV.


This assignment enables the integration to identify which compensation elements should be transferred using which DATEV salary type. The configuration is a one-time setup and serves as the foundation for the correct processing of compensation and monthly payroll data.

Prerequisites

  1. The HR-DATEV integration has been successfully configured.
  2. The initial synchronization has been completed successfully.
  3. The DATEV salary types have been imported from DATEV.

Click Through

  • Open the HR-DATEV Integration.
  • In the sitemap, navigate to DATEV Salary Types.
  • Open the DATEV salary type that you want to configure.
  • Select the appropriate wage type in the Wage Type field.
  • Review the assignment.
  • Click Save.
  • Repeat these steps for all DATEV salary types used in your organization.

Hint

  1. DATEV salary types are automatically imported from DATEV during the initial synchronization.
  2. Without a wage type assignment, compensation data cannot be processed correctly.
  3. The assignment typically only needs to be configured once.
  4. If new salary types are introduced in DATEV in the future, they must also be assigned to an appropriate wage type.
  5. The available salary types depend on your DATEV configuration.
  6. DATEV salary types can be exported to Excel Online to efficiently assign wage types.
  7. The DATEV wage type needs to have the exact same wage code as the one in the DATEV System

Recommendations

  1. Complete the salary type assignment immediately after the initial synchronization.
  2. Assign only the salary types that are actually required.
  3. Carefully review all assignments before the first productive data exchange.
  4. Regularly verify whether new salary types have been added after updates or changes to your wage types.

Result

The selected DATEV salary types have been successfully assigned to the corresponding wage types.


The HR-DATEV integration can now correctly assign compensation and monthly payroll data to the appropriate DATEV salary types and prepare them for transfer to DATEV.

Tips

If no wage types are available for selection or the assignment cannot be saved, verify the following:

  1. The initial synchronization has been completed successfully.
  2. The DATEV salary type is active.
  3. The integration has been successfully connected to DATEV.
