"You are not a member of this organization": What do do

Objective

Upon trying to access HR for Dynamics, especially a Demo environment, you may get the message "You are not a member of this organization".

The reason for this is that your browser is logged in with the user you usually use, while you should be logged in with a user that is part of the Demo environment you're trying to access.

How to solve this:

  • Sign out with your current user (Screenshot)
  • The system logs you out now
  • Sign in with the correct user for the Demo environment (Screenshot)
    • You may have to enter the URL of the Demo system again, if the page does not reload automatically
    • If the user is not yet displayed in your list of accounts, click Use another account, then enter the credentials
  • Done! Once you're signed in with the correct user, you will be able to access the Demo environment.

Recommendation

  • Instead of repeatedly logging in and out, you can also use an Incognito window in your browser to avoid this issue.
