Datafox Terminal: Adjust terminal language (optional)

Objective

The objective of this tutorial is to show you how to change the language of your Datafox terminal. By default, the Datafox terminal comes with German language installed.

Prerequisites

  • You have the terminal at hand
  • You have access to the Datafox Studio app

Click Through

  • Connect the Datafox terminal to your computer
  • Open Datafox Studio
  • On the bottom of the page, enter 'Language file' into the Search bar
  • There are 3 language files (English, French and Dutch)
  • Select the desired one
  • Right click on the file
  • Click on Download
  • Once its finished, right click again
  • Click on show folder
  • Copy the path from the file explorer
  • In Datafox Studio again, click on Configuration
  • Click on Language file for device, device text
  • Click on transfer language table
  • In the new pop up window, select the correct device
  • Click on the small folder icon
  • Add the path copied from the file explorer into the file explorer
  • Choose the file to be transferred user-<language>.dfl
  • Click on Open
  • Click on Perform
  • The terminal language should now be changed

Hint

  • Datafox provides out-of-the-box English, German, French and Dutch languages.
  • If you need to bring back the German language, then use this tutorial.

Result

The selected language will now be displayed in your terminal.
