Datafox Terminal: Restore default German language (optional)

Objective

The objective of this page is to show you how to change the language of your terminal back to the default German if you have made changes to the language settings before.

Prerequisites

  • You have your terminal at hand
  • You have access to the Datafox Studio app

Click Through

  • Connect the Datafox terminal to your computer
  • Open Datafox Studio
  • On the bottom of the page, enter 'Firmware' into the search bar and select the newest file
  • Right click on the file
  • Click on Download
  • Once its finished, right click again
  • Click on Show folder
  • Look for the Firmware file (.dfz file)
  • Rename the .dfz ending to .zip
  • Confirm the renaming
  • Extract the content of the newly created .zip file
  • Go to the folder where the file was extracted
  • Copy the path from the file explorer
  • In Datafox Studio again, click on Configuration
  • Click on Language file for device, device text
  • Click on transfer language table
  • In the new pop up window, select the correct device
  • Click on the small folder icon
  • Add the path copied from the file explorer earlier into the file explorer
  • Search for the file Default.dfl and select it
  • Click on Open
  • Click on Perform
  • The language of your terminal should now be reset to German
